Military parade to be held in Tashkent

On November 18, military units of the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard will hold ceremonial marches along the main streets of Tashkent to mark the 34th anniversary of the adoption of the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Defense announced.
The pedestrian marches of the military units will begin at 3:00 p.m. with ceremonial performances at the “Victory Park” memorial complex.
The parade route will proceed from the “Victory Park” memorial complex (via Sagbon and Zarkaynar streets) to the Uzbekistan State Museum of Nature, then to the “Chorsu” Bazaar, the Tashkent Circus (Zarkaynar Street), and finally to the “Palace of Arts of Friendship of Peoples” (via Uzbekistan Shah Street and Furqat Street). At the “Palace of Arts of Friendship of Peoples” square, service members will perform ceremonial demonstrations, combat calls, and military orchestra displays.
On November 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., traffic will be temporarily restricted on the following streets in the capital:
- From the intersection of Qorakamish and Sagbon streets along Sagbon Street to the intersection with KHAI;
- From the intersection of KHAI and Sagbon streets along Sagbon Street to the intersection with Nurafshon Street;
- From the intersection of Nurafshon and Sagbon streets along Sagbon Street to the intersection with Farobi Street;
- From the roundabout at Zarkaynar and Sagbon streets along Zarkaynar Street to the intersection with Alisher Navoi Street;
- From the intersection of Zarkaynar and Alisher Navoi streets along Furqat Street to the intersection with Islam Karimov Street;
- From the intersection of Furqat and Islam Karimov streets along Furqat Street to the intersection with Beshyoqoch Street.

Drivers are advised to use alternative routes.
