Cargo truck catches fire after accident in Tashkent region

In the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, a cargo truck caught fire after colliding with a Cobalt parked on the roadside, the regional department of Road Traffic Safety reported.

The traffic accident occurred today, August 23, at around 07:00. On the 4th kilometer of the A373 “Tashkent–Osh” highway, passing through the Yukori Chirchik district, the driver of a Howo cement truck lost control of the steering wheel and collided with a Cobalt parked on the roadside. As a result, the Cobalt overturned.

As a result of the accident, a fire broke out in the cement truck. In addition, one passenger who was inside the stationary Cobalt sustained injuries and was hospitalized.

A pre-investigation inquiry into the incident is currently being carried out by the Yukori Chirchik district department of Internal Affairs.
