A passenger of the Tashkent Metro disabled the doors of a train carriage, according to the press service of the Tashkent Metropolitan.

It was reported that on 16 December at 16:23, train set No. 16, scheduled to depart from Mustaqillik Maydoni station toward Paxtakor station, was boarding passengers and closing its doors when one of the passengers attempted to force the doors open in order to enter the carriage.

As a result, the door protection mechanism was damaged. Although the train driver managed to temporarily resolve the issue, the malfunction occurred again before the train reached the next station. Following instructions, the driver disembarked passengers at the station and returned the train to the electric depot.

“Dear metro passengers, we ask you to comply with safety requirements at metro facilities and refrain from damaging metro property. Even a single moment of carelessness can pose a danger to your life and the lives of other passengers,” the Tashkent Metropolitan State Unitary Enterprise said in a statement.

Earlier, it was reported that the cashier operator position at the Tashkent Metro would be completely abolished.
