With the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, Uzbeks stranded in Yekaterinburg, Russia, have been successfully returned to their permanent residence in Uzbekistan, "Dunyo" news agency reported.
S.L. appealed to the Ministry of Health regarding her daughter M.O., who had temporarily moved to Yekaterinburg with her husband for work. The chairman of the Women's Council under the Consulate General thoroughly examined the appeal.
It was revealed that M.O. lived in Yekaterinburg with her husband, mother, and minor child, but her husband left the family due to domestic disagreements. After consultations with local doctors, it was confirmed that M.O.’s pregnancy was not at risk and she was safe to return to Uzbekistan.
Thanks to the efforts of the Consulate General and active Uzbek compatriots in the Sverdlovsk region, plane tickets for the Yekaterinburg-Tashkent flight were purchased. Uzbek diplomats accompanied the family from Kolsovo International Airport in Yekaterinburg to Tashkent on May 3.
Earlier, an 11-year-old boy whose parents died in a road accident in Russia was also safely returned to Uzbekistan.
