President to attend Security Council meeting

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is set to take part in an expanded meeting of the country’s Security Council ahead of January 14, which marks the 34th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan. The announcement was made by Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.

The expanded meeting of the Security Council will take place today, January 13.

In addition, the head of state will visit several facilities operating under the Ministry of Defense.

For reference, the most recent Security Council meeting attended by the President was held on February 21, 2025.
