The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his address to the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis today 20 December, drew attention to the violation of human rights and the law in the country's law enforcement agencies.

"Recently, painful issues regarding the violation of human rights have been raised in some places of detention.  Such situations cannot happen in our country.  Whoever does not comply with this, the law will prevail and punishment will be inevitable," said the head of state.

According to the president, now an online system of registration of all persons brought to law enforcement agencies will be introduced and facial recognition equipment will be installed.

"No one has the right to forget - the requirements of the law and human rights are the highest values for us!" says the President.
