On June 24, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Mongolia on a state visit at the invitation of President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh. The visit was confirmed by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
According to the official agenda, a series of bilateral meetings and high-level events are scheduled to take place in the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar.
“Issues of further development of multifaceted Uzbek-Mongolian relations and expansion of practical cooperation will be considered,” the statement reads.
It should be recalled that President Mirziyoyev’s visit, taking place on June 24–25, marks the first high-level visit between Uzbekistan and Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992. The visit is also reciprocal, following the official visit of the President of Mongolia to Uzbekistan in 2024.
During the previous meetings, Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh signed 14 agreements and bilateral documents aimed at strengthening cooperation across various sectors.
