Mirziyoyev holds a meeting on expanding cooperation with neighbors

On 8 August, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan held a meeting on expanding cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.  This is reported by the press service under the president’s office.

Head of the presidential administration Sardor Umurzakov and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjayev also took part in the meeting.

The meeting considered new projects and proposals for expanding economic cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.

In order to further develop small businesses in the country, the system of developing a national rating of investment attractiveness of regions was also discussed.
The Head of State gave specific instructions on the issues discussed.

Friendly and mutually beneficial relations of our country with the countries of Central Asia are developing steadily.  In the last five years, the volume of foreign trade with them increased by 2.5 times and exceeded 6 billion dollars.  "In our country, 1,700 joint ventures have been opened with the participation of capital from neighboring countries," – the report said.
