Malaysia hosts official welcoming ceremony for Mirziyoyev

Today, February 5, an official welcoming ceremony was held for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the Perdana Putra government complex in Kuala Lumpur. This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.

The Head of State was welcomed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim.

A guard of honor was formed in honor of the high-ranking guest. The national anthems of the two countries were played.

The President of Uzbekistan walked past the guard of honor. Then, the leaders of the two states greeted members of the official delegations and representatives of the diplomatic corps.

After a joint photo session, high-level negotiations began.

Mirziyoyev will participate in the Uzbekistan-Malaysia business forum. At the end of the summit, several intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents are expected to be signed.

It should be recalled that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Malaysia on an official visit yesterday evening, February 4. At Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the Head of State was met by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament, Johari bin Abdul, Minister of Education, Zambri Abdulkadir, and other officials. The President also held a meeting with the Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament at the airport.
