The Amount Spent on Local Construction From the Beginning of 2023 is Announced

The Statistics Agency announced how many trillion soms were spent on local construction works in the first three months of this year and which region had the highest share of the construction volume.  

According to the data, between January-March 2023, construction works worth 27.6 trillion soms were completed in Uzbekistan, which has increased by 4.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.  The highest indicator corresponds to the city of Tashkent and is 24.8 percent.

The share of regions in the total volume of construction works:

Republic of Karakalpakstan – 3.6%

Andijan region – 4.4%

Bukhara region – 6.2%

Jizzakh region – 2.4%

Kashkadarya region – 6.1%

Navoi region – 4.3%

Namangan region – 4.7%

Samarkand region – 6.3%

Surkhandarya region – 5.3%

Syrdarya region – 2.3%

Tashkent region – 10.6%

Fergana region – 6.2%

Khorezm region – 3.2%

Tashkent city – 24.8%

Furthermore, as of 1st of May 2023, the number of enterprises registered in the construction sector reached 51,604.  This figure was 47,105 in the corresponding period of 2022.
