A governor has been appointed to the Khojaobod district

Akmaljon Alievich Mirzaolimov has been designated as the interim mayor of Khojaobod district in the Andijan region, according to a statement from the regional administration's press service on February 7.

Prior to assuming this role, Akmaljon Mirzaolimov served as the deputy governor of Khojaobod district, focusing on financial, economic, and poverty reduction matters.

He succeeds Otkirbek Shukurov, who held the position since February 2022.

Akmaljon Mirzaolimov, born in 1979 in Qurgantepa district, graduated from the Andijan Agricultural Institute in 2005 with a degree in economics.

Throughout his career, he has held various roles, including accountant in agricultural enterprises, specialist in commercial banking, inspector in the treasury department, chief specialist in the regional administration, department head in the General Directorate of Economy and Regional Development, and assistant governor in the neighborhood.

It is worth noting that Ergashali Abdujalilov was appointed as the acting mayor of Oltinkol district on February 6.
