Jaloliddin Akhmadaliev penalized for unauthorized use of poems

Singer Jaloliddin Akhmadaliev has been fined for violating copyright laws. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice.
According to the ministry, it was established that the performer used the poems “Yurak,” “Meni deb oqardi sochlaring ona,” “Ko‘zlaringni qizg‘onma mendan,” and “Barchasini Xudoga soldim,” written by author Shokhrukh Abduvokhidov, without the permission of the copyright holder and without signing a proper agreement.
In connection with the incident, a report on an administrative offense was filed against Akhmadaliev under Article 177-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (Violation of Copyright and Related Rights) and was submitted to the appropriate court. Based on the ruling of the Dangara District Court of the Fergana Region for Criminal Cases, he was fined under the first part of Article 177-1.
For reference, under current legislation, the author is entitled to claim compensation from the offender in an amount ranging from 20 to 1,000 times the base calculation amount, as an alternative to damages.
It should be noted that earlier, singer Botir Kadyrov was also fined for using a poem by poet Shamsiddin Turaev, known by the pen name "Shamsiddin Sadoiy," without authorization.
