“We came with big plans”: President visits Syrdarya

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Syrdarya region today, December 4, the Presidential Press Service reported.

During his visit, the President met with local officials and respected community leaders. The discussions focused on key issues concerning the economy, industry, agriculture, youth development, and the region’s future. The Head of State emphasized that proactive engagement by local people is a decisive factor in the success of reforms.

“Changes must first be felt in the neighborhoods. You need to maintain constant communication with the people and guide the youth in the right direction. If we are all alert and active, our efforts and ongoing reforms will definitely yield results. We have come to Syrdarya with big plans. After hearing your feedback, we will implement these plans carefully,” the President said.

During his visit, the President will review the operations of industrial enterprises and ongoing construction projects in local communities. He will also participate in an extraordinary session of the Syrdarya Regional Council of People's Deputies, setting priority tasks for the socio-economic development of the region.

It is worth noting that on December 2, President Mirziyoyev visited Jizzakh region, where he attended an extraordinary session of the Jizzakh Regional Council of People's Deputies. During that visit, Ulugbek Mavlonovich Mustafoyev was confirmed as the Governor of Jizzakh region.
