Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He has reportedly reached an agreement with England’s Manchester City football club, the French news agency L’Equipe reported.
PSG head coach Luis Enrique announced the termination of relations with the Italian goalkeeper yesterday, August 12. Taking advantage of the current situation, Manchester City is eager to acquire Donnarumma.
The Italian national team goalkeeper’s contract with PSG is set to expire on June 30, 2026. Nevertheless, Donnarumma took the opportunity to bid farewell to fans via his social media accounts.
Meanwhile, Manchester City is awaiting the outcome of bilateral negotiations between its current goalkeeper, Ederson Moraes, and Turkish club Galatasaray. If the sides reach an agreement, the Citizens are expected to complete Donnarumma’s transfer for a reduced fee.
It is worth noting that PSG will face Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup, which will take place overnight from August 13 to 14.
