If the cause of death of children who died after drinking Dok-1 Max syrup in Uzbekistan is confirmed with an official document, compensation can be paid to their families.  Elmira Bosithonova, Deputy Minister of Health, gave information about this at the International Press Club.

According to the Deputy Minister, so far, the parents are the only ones who have confirmed that their children drank the "Dok-1 Max" drug.

"If this information is confirmed by a document, only then can legal proceedings for compensation be started," she said.

According to Bositkhonova, investigations are being carried out on the death of each child.

We remind you that by the order of the Pharmaceutical Network Development Agency of the Ministry of Health on 22 December 2022, it was decided to withdraw "Dok-1 Max" drugs from pharmacies.

The Indian Limited company, Marion Biotech Pvt., produced the Dok-1 Max syrup which was found to have contained toxic substances 300 times more than the norm and which resulted in the death of 20 children in Uzbekistan.  On 11 January 2023, the World Health Organization called on the world's population to avoid Dok-1 Max and Ambronol syrups.  The Investigative Department of the State Security Service initiated a criminal case against the officials of the "Kuramax Medical" Limited Liability Company and the "Scientific Center for Standardization of Medicines" LLC, which imported the drug into Uzbekistan, and the suspects were placed in the investigative detention center of the State Security Service.  On 13 January, a court session was held and a criminal case was opened against "QURAMAX MEDICAL" LLC, and its license was revoked.
