A database will be created in Uzbekistan containing information on the phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and social media pages of civil servants. This is outlined in the Presidential Decree “On measures to organize the civil service based on new approaches and form a professional and efficient corps of civil servants,” adopted on June 19.

According to the decree, starting from September 1 of this year, the “Civil Servant” mobile application will be launched. The application will offer civil servants the following features for continuous development and improved communication:

  • - remote development and improvement of competencies, along with statistical tracking;
  • - submission of initiatives to improve the work of state bodies and feedback mechanisms from leadership;
  • - creation and monitoring of personal development plans;
  • - creation of a database containing employee information, including coordinated areas and departments, contact numbers, email addresses, and social media pages for managerial staff.

It is worth noting that under this same decree, newly hired civil servants will initially be employed under a one-year contract. Based on the positive results of their activities, this contract may then be extended for an indefinite term. In addition, heads of republican-level organizations will be selected via the Single Portal of Vacancies for State Civil Servants.

The decree also stipulates that the outcomes of foreign and domestic business trips taken by civil servants will be evaluated electronically, and information on their body weight will be recorded and published on a dedicated platform.
