Dust storms expected, Uzhydromet issues warning

Dust storms are expected in several regions of Uzbekistan on April 20, according to Uzhydromet.
The agency reported that in parts of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm Region, Bukhara Region, Navoi Region, Jizzakh Region, Syrdarya Region, and Surkhandarya Region, wind speeds may increase to 15–20 meters per second, accompanied by dust storms.
Earlier, authorities warned that rainfall expected between April 18 and 23 could lead to mudflows and flash floods in foothill and mountainous areas across Uzbekistan.
