Person detained in Bukhara for illegally storing military weapons

Authorities in the Bukhara region have detained a citizen for the illegal possession of military-grade weapons and ammunition. The regional customs department reported that approximately 1 kilogram of gunpowder, 20 cartridges of various calibers, and special knives were discovered in the suspect's residence.  

According to officials, the Bukhara regional customs department, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, conducted a swift operation in the Peshku district. During the raid, authorities found a cylindrical container holding 780 grams of gunpowder, an additional 40 grams of powder stored in a glue container, as well as 20 cartridges of different calibers and several special knives in the suspect's apartment.  

The customs authorities have launched an investigation into the case.  

It should be recalled that earlier this month, the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs identified an individual in possession of a Makarov pistol during the large-scale "Oriat" and narcotics operations held in Tashkent from February 5 to 7.
