Unknown individuals who changed a road speed limit sign from 60 to 70 have been identified in the city of Angren, Tashkent Region. This was reported by the Regional Traffic Safety Department.

According to a video circulated on social media, the road sign 3.24 — “Maximum Speed Limit” — installed on Obod Turmush Street in Angren was altered by unidentified persons.

The road sign has since been replaced with a new one. Officers of the Traffic Safety Department of the Angren City Department of Internal Affairs have launched an inquiry to identify those responsible for the violation.

For reference, such an offense entails liability under Article 147 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (damage to roads, road facilities, and technical means regulating traffic, violation of rules for their maintenance, and failure to comply with traffic organization requirements).

It is worth noting that earlier reports stated that three teenagers in Marhamat District of Andijan Region knocked down a radar device and threw it into a canal.
