In 2022, the state lost more than 1 trillion soms as a result of criminal activity by officials

During 2022, 3116 officials were brought to criminal responsibility for a total of 2965 criminal cases in the republic.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Of the officials whose crimes were exposed, 110 worked in ministries, departments and organizations of the republic, 264 of the regions and 2742 of the districts (city).

It is noted that 2103 officials who were brought to criminal responsibility were involved in embezzlement and robbery, 265 were for abuse of their official position, 243 were for fraud, 169 were for bribery, and 51 were for embezzlement.  22 were for Forgery, thus having no regard for their career, 14 of them for deviating from the scope of their authority and 249 of them committed other crimes.

As a result of this criminal activity by officials, material damage was caused to the interests of the state and society in the amount of 1 trillion 12 billion soms, and an amount of 847 billion soms of this damage was collected during the investigation.
