Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola spoke highly of Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov during a press conference following the team's 1-0 victory over Tottenham in the 27th round of the English Premier League.

“What I liked the most is that Husanov has already become everyone’s favorite in the dressing room. Today, he even arrived without a toothbrush or other toiletries—he just came to play football. When you talk to him, he only smiles, but he is a reliable player. He can break the lines. Of course, he still needs to develop. I have seen many players with high speed, and Khusanov is one of them. Everyone loves him; he works hard without complaining. He is so humble that I am sure our fans will love him. It was not easy to recover from the ‘blow’ he received in his debut match against Chelsea,” Guardiola said.

In the match against Tottenham, Manchester City secured victory thanks to a lone goal by Erling Haaland. The team currently sits in fourth place in the English Premier League standings with 47 points.
