Khusanov and Manchester City reach League Cup final

On February 4, the second leg of the English League Cup semifinal took place, in which Manchester City defeated Newcastle 3–1 at home to secure a place in the final.
In the match, Abdukodir Khusanov started in the starting lineup and played the full 90 minutes. The scoring opened in the 7th minute when Omar Marmoush found the net. In the 29th minute, Marmoush scored again to complete his brace and double his team’s lead. Just three minutes later, in the 32nd minute, Tijjani Reijnders made it 3–0.
In the second half, Pep Guardiola’s side played more calmly, managing the game based on the scoreline. In the 62nd minute, Anthony Elanga scored for the visitors, but no further goals were added before the final whistle.
As a result, Manchester City advanced to the League Cup final with a 5–1 aggregate victory over Newcastle. In the decisive match, City will face London side Arsenal. At present, the two teams occupy first and second places in the Premier League standings.
