Uzhydromet has published the weather forecast for April 28 – May 1.
According to the report, dry weather will prevail across most of Uzbekistan throughout the week. Only in the far north of the country and in some areas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, short-term thunderstorms are expected. In most parts of the country, the weather will feel as hot as summer, with temperatures reaching 35–38 degrees Celsius.
On April 29–30, the air temperature will slightly decrease, and by April 30, it is expected to drop to 25–30 degrees. From the second half of the week, temperatures will start to rise again, reaching 30–33 degrees by the end of the working week.
Tomorrow, April 29, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region will experience the coolest day of the week, with temperatures around 15–20 degrees. However, temperatures there will gradually climb to 28–30 degrees in the following days.
Dry weather will largely persist across the country. However, short-term rains and thunderstorms are possible in some areas of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, and Navoi regions on April 29–30, and in some parts of the Fergana Valley on May 1–2.
Winds are expected to blow from the east at a speed of 7–12 m/s. In some areas, particularly on April 28–30, wind speeds may increase to 15–20 m/s, potentially accompanied by dust storms.
In Tashkent, no precipitation is expected from April 28–30 and May 1–2. Tomorrow, temperatures in the capital will reach 31–33 degrees, cooling slightly to 26–28 degrees on April 30. In the second half of the week, the temperature will rise again to 29–31 degrees.
