President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the world is becoming increasingly turbulent and complex, and noted that peace is the greatest blessing, while human dignity and justice remain the highest values. He made these remarks on June 30 during a meeting with young people in honor of Youth Day.
“Peace and development, mutual solidarity will always be stable in a country with a large number of highly educated, broad-minded, modern-thinking, and technologically literate youth,” the President stated.
Providing quality education and proper upbringing to young people, teaching them modern professions and crafts, foreign languages, and creating the necessary conditions for them to find a worthy place in life, has become one of the state's most important tasks and responsibilities,” Mirziyoyev said.
The President also spoke about the recent football celebration held across Uzbekistan, marking a historic moment for the nation: for the first time in history, Uzbekistan’s national football team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup — ending a 34-year wait.
“It was once difficult to imagine that children from ordinary families, who until recently spent their lives working in cotton fields, could reach such great achievements in science, sports, and other fields.
We have created the right conditions for our youth, and they are using these opportunities to reach remarkable heights.
If the First and Second Renaissances were shaped by our great scholars and thinkers, then today, history is giving you — our youth — your turn.
I am confident that you are capable of raising the flag of our country high in all areas. You are the golden generation that will create a new chapter in our history as the builders of New Uzbekistan!” Mirziyoyev said.
