Following the Presidential Resolution of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 14, 2025, the“Yangiyo'l–Agrostar” company has been designated to specialize in the production of tomatoes, bell peppers, and greens.
The “Business Development Bank” JSCB is providing financial backing for this initiative, and several key projects are currently being implemented in cooperation with the specialized company.
One such project—the “Homestead School”—was launched yesterday in the “Xalqobod” neighborhood of the Yangiyul district. The opening ceremony was attended by the Board of “Business Development Bank” JSCB, the leadership of “Uzagrostarholding”, foreign agricultural experts, as well as homestead landowners, farmers, and representatives of local farms.
The school offers training sessions four days a week for different groups of homestead landowners, farmers, and agricultural enterprises. The trainings are conducted by experienced professors and instructors. Notably, the company has invited Chengiz Yalchin, a highly qualified Turkish agronomist, who will share his hands-on expertise with local landowners.
Additionally, Stanislas Enrion, a French expert from “Experto Consulting”, will provide recommendations on advancing specialized agricultural production, based on his research. The program aims to train about 600 participants, including household landowners and farm representatives, by the end of the year.
To ensure the effectiveness of the program, cooperation has been established with the Tashkent State Agrarian University, the Research Institute of Vegetable Growing and Soil Science, and “AGROLAB” scientific research laboratories. The training will follow a combined theoretical, practical, and mobile format.
Participants will also have the opportunity to apply their knowledge during a three-day practical session at the AGROLAB O‘HQM testing laboratory, which provides essential analysis services for the agribusiness sector. They will learn how to analyze soil, water, and crop composition and gain insights into the certification process for exported agricultural products.
During the event, guests were introduced to a 30-greenhouse project currently under construction on 4 hectares of land, in partnership with “Business Development Bank” JSCB and “Yangiyo‘l–Agrostar.” Built using Chinese technology, each greenhouse spans 10 sotkas and is uniquely designed with one side fully enclosed, allowing for 2–3 harvests per season without any energy used to heat the soil. Each greenhouse has the potential to generate over 150 million soums in income.
