Rain forecasted across Uzbekistan April 14-16

Uzhydromet has published the weather forecast for April 14-16.

Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm Region: The sky will be partly cloudy, with no precipitation expected on April 14-15. Short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur in some areas on April 16. Winds will blow from the east at 7-12 m/s, strengthening to 15-20 m/s in certain areas on April 15-16. Temperatures will be 10-15°C at night, 23-28°C during the day on April 14-15, and 18-23°C during the day on April 16.

Bukhara and Navoi Regions: Partly cloudy skies with no precipitation expected on April 14-15. Short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur in some locations on April 16. Winds will blow from the east at 7-12 m/s, increasing to 15-20 m/s in certain areas on April 15-16. Temperatures will be 13-18°C at night and 25-30°C during the day.

Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya Regions: Partly cloudy skies with short-term rain and thunderstorms expected at night and in the morning on April 14 in certain areas. No precipitation is expected on April 15, but rain and thunderstorms may occur again in some areas on April 16. Winds will blow from the east at 7-12 m/s, strengthening to 13-18 m/s in certain areas on April 14 and 16. Temperatures will be 12-17°C at night and 24-29°C during the day on April 14-15, and 10-15°C at night and 20-25°C during the day on April 16.

Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya Regions: Partly cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms expected at night and in the morning on April 14 in certain locations. No precipitation is expected on April 15, but short-term rain and thunderstorms may occur again on April 16. Winds will blow from the east at 7-12 m/s, strengthening to 13-18 m/s in certain areas on April 16. Temperatures will be 15-20°C at night, 29-34°C during the day on April 14, and 32-37°C during the day on April 15-16.

Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana Regions: Partly cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms expected in certain areas on April 14 and 16. No precipitation is expected on April 15. Winds will blow from the east at 5-10 m/s, strengthening to 13-18 m/s in certain areas on April 14 and 16. Temperatures will be 12-17°C at night and 23-28°C during the day.

Mountainous and Foothill Areas: Partly cloudy skies with rain expected in some areas on April 14 and 16, with heavy rain and thunderstorms likely in certain areas on April 14. No precipitation is expected on April 15. Winds will blow from the east at 7-12 m/s, strengthening to 13-18 m/s in some locations on April 14. Temperatures will be 5-10°C at night and 13-18°C during the day on April 14-15, and 10-15°C during the day on April 16.

The rainfall expected between April 13-18 may cause mudflows and flooding in foothill and mountainous regions of Uzbekistan.
