On November 20, Wan Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and China’s Foreign Minister, arrived in Uzbekistan, the country’s Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov, announced.

According to Saidov, he accompanied his Chinese counterpart to the recently completed Islamic Civilization Center in Tashkent.

“We are pleased to meet with Mr. Wan Yi. Together, we visited the Islamic Civilization Center, which symbolizes our shared commitment to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich scientific heritage, deeply rooted cultural traditions, and great thinkers of our region,” Saidov said.

Today, November 21, the next session of the Strategic Dialogue between the Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and China began in Tashkent. The agenda includes deepening political dialogue, expanding trade and economic cooperation, promoting cultural and humanitarian exchanges, and strengthening collaboration on regional security issues.

It is worth noting that Wan Yi’s visit follows earlier announcements that he would meet with his counterparts to implement agreements reached by Chinese President Xi Jinping with the leaders of three countries. The meetings aim to conduct strategic dialogue, discuss bilateral relations, and exchange views on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
