Uzgidromet issued a warning to Tashkent residents

Today, 9 February, it is expected that there will be stronger than-normal winds in the capital city of Tashkent.  Sherzodhoja Khabibullayev, general director of the Hydrometeorological Service Center, announced this on his Facebook page.

“Capital car owners are advised to park their cars in safe places.  Today, it is expected that there will be an stronger than-normal wind,” he wrote.

According to Uzgidromet, today, 9 February the weather forecast is as follows:

In Uzbekistan, the weather will change, it may rain, and in some places it will turn to snow.  Precipitation is not expected in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm regions.  The wind will blow from the west at a speed of 7-12 m/s, in some places it may increase to 17-22 m/s.  The temperature will be 4-9 degrees warm, 2-7 degrees cold in the north;

In Tashkent, the weather will be cloudy, it will rain from time to time, it may turn to snow in the afternoon.  The wind will blow from the west at a speed of 5-10 m/s, it may increase to 15-17 m/s.  The temperature will be 5-7 degrees during the day, and will drop to 0-2 degrees in the evening.

In the foothills and mountainous regions of the republic, the weather is changing, it will snow, it will be heavy in some places, and fog will fall.  The wind will blow from the west at a speed of 7-12 m/s, in some places it may increase to 17-22 m/s.  The temperature will be 3 degrees cold and 2 degrees warm.
