Uzhydromet issues urgent warning about extreme heat

The Center of Hydrometeorological Service (Uzhydromet) has issued an urgent warning regarding extreme heat expected in Uzbekistan from July 2 to 5.

According to the report, very hot air masses are forecast to enter the territory of Uzbekistan from the south during this period.

On July 2, air temperatures in the northern, southern, and desert regions of the country are expected to rise to 40–43 degrees Celsius. From July 3 to 5, most areas will experience temperatures between 40 and 43 degrees, with some southern and desert regions reaching as high as 44–46 degrees.

Additionally, wind speeds across the country are expected to increase to 13–18 meters per second, and in some places from July 3 to 5, gusts may reach 20–25 meters per second, accompanied by dust storms and possibly hail in certain areas.

It is worth recalling that earlier, Uzhydromet provided a forecast for the weather conditions expected in Uzbekistan on the first day of July.
