Uzhydromet issues weather warning

Uzhydromet has issued a warning regarding the expected arrival of cold and wet air masses across Uzbekistan from November 5 to 8.

During this period, air temperatures are anticipated to gradually decrease, with nighttime temperatures dropping to between 0-5 degrees Celsius on November 7-8, and potentially reaching as low as 3 degrees Celsius in certain areas. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from 5-10 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, wind speeds may increase significantly, reaching 13-18 m/s in some regions and potentially up to 20-23 m/s in northern and desert areas. Rain is forecasted intermittently throughout the republic on November 5-6, with precipitation expected to turn into snow in mountainous regions, and some areas may experience heavy rainfall.

Uzgidromet has also warned of possible flood events in the foothills and mountainous regions during November 5-7. The accumulation of rainwater may lead to flooding in various areas of the republic, urging residents to take necessary precautions.
