Urgent weather warning: Avalanche risk announced

Due to expected precipitation and changing temperatures from March 6–11, 2025, an avalanche risk has been announced in the mountainous regions of the country, according to a statement by UzHydromet.
The areas at risk of avalanches include:
- Kashkadarya Region: Dekhkanabad, Kitab, Kamashi, Shakhrisabz districts
- Surkhandarya Region: Boysun, Kumkurgan, Sariosiyo, Uzun districts
- Samarkand Region: Nurobod, Koshrabad, Samarkand, Urgut districts
- Jizzakh Region: Baxmal, Zomin districts
- Tashkent Region: Bostanlyk, Ohangaron, Parkent districts (Chatkal mountain range)
- Namangan Region: Pop district
Residents, travelers, and drivers in mountainous areas are advised to take necessary precautions for their safety.
