Citizens can now apply to any center of state services or internal affairs authorities on an extraterritorial basis to obtain a biometric passport for travel abroad.  This is reported by the State Services Agency.

The practice of filling out a paper application form has been completely eliminated, only the mechanism of filling in an electronic questionnaire has been introduced.
The number of references and “documents” that should be provided by service users in some difficult cases has been reduced.  Especially:

For conscripts aged 18-27, the requirement to provide a copy of a military card or certificate of registration in the military recruitment office has been abolished;
In cases where parents jointly apply for a passport for minors, their notarized consent is not required.

The relevant stages of rendering public services are automatically notified by sending an SMS, as well as the possibility of checking through the official website, single Interactive State Services Portal or the State Personalization Center.

When issuing passports to minors abroad, if the accompanying person is their father and (or) mother, the notarized obligation of the accompanying person is not required.
