Weather forecast for May in Uzbekistan

Uzhydromet has released the weather forecast for May this year.

For most of the first ten days of May, Uzbekistan is expected to experience very warm and dry weather. On May 1-2, daytime temperatures will reach 28-30°C. From May 3-7, temperatures will rise further to 34-37°C.

On May 1-2, there will be short-term thunderstorms in some parts of the Fergana Valley. In the mountainous regions of the republic, rain is expected, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall and possible thunderstorms.

No precipitation is expected in other regions of the country from May 1-7. Toward the end of the first ten days, temperatures will slightly decrease, with occasional short-term thunderstorms in some areas.

Later in the month, until the end of May, temperatures will range from 17-22°C at night and 32-37°C during the day, cooling to 25-30°C in some regions.

In the second and third ten days of May, short-term thunderstorm rains are likely in some areas of the republic, and local rains with hail are possible in certain places. Even within cities, rainfall can be heavy in one area while barely noticeable in another.

The average monthly temperature is expected to be around the climatic norm, with some areas experiencing temperatures 1-2 degrees higher than usual.
