Conscription is declared in Uzbekistan

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed the Decree «On the next call of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and release of conscripts from the reserve of the Armed Forces».

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On Conscription and Military Service»:

1. Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan of draft age who do not have the right to postpone their call-up or to be exempted from conscription are called up for military service in March-April 2022.

Citizens who are fit for military service, including those with limitations and who do not have the right to deferment of conscription or exemption from conscription, but who are not called up for service in the Armed Forces during this recruitment period, are included in the mobilization reserve service.

2. In March-April 2022, members of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan who had performed fixed-term military service were dismissed to the reserve.

3. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, A.N. Aripov, and the Secretary of the Security Council to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, V.V. Mahmudov, are responsible for monitoring the implementation of this decision.
