This year, Uzbekistan plans to bolster fuel production at its oil refineries, aiming to lessen its dependency on imports, according to sources cited by "The Moscow Times"

In 2024, the Bukhara Oil Refinery is set to increase diesel fuel production by 13%, reaching 640.3 thousand tons, and boost aviation kerosene production by 65%, reaching 296.1 thousand tons.

The "Uzbekistan GTL" plant has produced 732,000 tons of synthetic diesel fuel (a 13% increase), 302,000 tons of jet fuel (tripling its output), 419,000 tons of naphtha (a 32% rise), and is poised to launch production of up to 550,000 tons of liquefied gas (a 55% increase).

According to "Uzbekneftgaz," gasoline consumption is projected to reach 1.65 million tons by 2030 due to economic growth, expanding vehicle fleets, and improved living standards. Last year, Uzbekistan imported around 2.0 million tons of oil products and 346,000 tons of stable gas condensate from Russia.
