Uzbekistan plans to open a diplomatic office in Bangladesh.  This was mentioned in the meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjayev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Abul Kalam Abdul Momen.

At the meeting held in Dhaka, the parties discussed issues of further development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The importance of adopting comprehensive measures, including tariffs and notary regulation, was emphasized to activate trade relations and increase the volume of mutual trade. From this point of view, relevant ministries and agencies are tasked with accelerating negotiations on several important agreements.

"The need to improve the logistics of supply chains and develop proposals for low-cost transport routes was emphasized.  In this regard, a code-sharing (joint operation of flights) agreement, for the first time, on cargo transportation on the route "Uzbekistan - Chabahar port - Chittagong port", as well as Tashkent - Delhi between JSC "Uzbekistan Airways" and the national air carrier "Biman Airlines" of Bangladesh - agreed to conclude on the organization of air traffic in Dhaka and the opposite direction.

“A unanimous decision was made to develop industrial cooperation by establishing joint ventures in the chemical, agricultural, food, textile, leather-footwear, and pharmaceutical industries and exporting finished products to the markets of third countries,”- the report by the ministry says.

The possibility of opening a diplomatic mission of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Dhaka was also discussed.  In a symbolic sense, it was proposed to dedicate this event to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between the countries.
