The Uzbek military emerged victorious at the international competition held in Inje, Gangwon Province, South Korea, from September 21 to 26 this year, the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan reported.
A total of 16 teams and about 500 servicemen from South Korea, Uzbekistan, the United States, New Zealand, Cambodia, and a NATO joint group participated in the 3rd International Scientific and Combat Training Competition, which took place at the Ground Forces Scientific Training Center.

At the initial stage, each team focused on developing the skills and experience necessary for creating an operational plan and fulfilling obligations under national agreements, as well as coordinating joint unit operations.

The competition phase began after teams were assigned their tasks by drawing lots. According to the competition’s conditions, participants faced various combat simulations and scientific training programs and conducted 12-stage simulated battles in both forest and urban environments.

The evaluation process considered how fully the teams met the competition’s conditions, their compliance with combat operation rules, the extent of destruction and survival against the simulated enemy in both offensive and defensive scenarios, and the quality of their comprehensive tactical analysis and reporting.
In this year’s competition, the Uzbek military set new records by capturing the simulated enemy’s reserve and main command posts in just 21 minutes (surpassing the previous best of 33 minutes) and eliminating the enemy while on the defensive in 25 minutes (beating the previous best of 29 minutes).

It is worth noting that the snipers of Uzbekistan’s National Guard also claimed victory at the international sniper competition *Sharp Edge-2025*, held in China from July 12 to 20 this year.
