Erkin Mukhitdinov appointed as the new director of Forestry Agency

Erkin Madorbekovich Mukhitdinov has been appointed as the new director of the Forestry Agency under the Ministry of Ecology, according to a report by UzA.  

This appointment marks the departure of Nizomiddin Jalilovich Bakirov from his role as director. However, no official information has been released regarding his resignation, the reason for his dismissal, or any potential reassignment.  

Erkin Mukhitdinov previously served as the head of the Department for Forestry, Biodiversity, and Ecotourism Policy at the Ministry of Ecology, a position he assumed in December last year. From August 2023 to May 2024, he led Akhangaron district and was appointed as the first deputy governor of the Tashkent region in May 2024.  

Born in 1976 in the Andijan region, Mukhitdinov graduated from the Andijan Institute of Economic Management in 1997 with a bachelor's degree. He later earned a master's degree from the Academy of Banking and Finance in 2000 and completed studies at the Higher School of the Institute of Developing Economies in Japan in 2007. Mukhitdinov holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and has been awarded the Order of Friendship.  

Throughout his career, Mukhitdinov has held key roles at the National Bank for Foreign Economic Relations, "Turonbank" JSCB, the Central Bank, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Social and Economic Policy Coordination Service of the President, and the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction.
