Tragic discovery: Woman's body found in Salar canal

The body of a 41-year-old woman was discovered in a canal in the Tashkent region, according to Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, in response to a request from QALAMPIR.UZ.

The woman, identified as D.A., had left her home at 01:30 on February 1 and did not return. After a five-day search, on February 6 at around 16:00, an unidentified body was found in the "Salar" canal, which runs along Navruz Street in the Zangiota district. A preliminary investigation confirmed the body belonged to D.A.

"A forensic medical examination has been appointed to determine the cause of death. Investigation efforts are underway," stated Hayot Shamsutdinov.

For reference, in November 2024, the body of a 24-year-old man was also found at HPP No. 4 in the Chilanzor district of Tashkent.
