Metro and bus fares in Tashkent increase 

From January 1, 2025, public transport fares for buses and the metro in Tashkent will see an increase. This decision was outlined in a resolution by the Tashkent city governor, announced on November 25.

The new fare structure is as follows:

• Standard fare for one trip: 3,000 soums. However, passengers using electronic payment systems will receive a discount of 1,700 soums, reducing the fare to 1,300 soums per trip.
• Luggage transport fare: 4,000 soums per item.
• Tariff for trips under subscription plans: 1,600 soums per trip.

While the cost of transport cards, subscription-based plans, and discounted rates for transfers within an hour will remain unchanged, the city will eliminate cash payments on buses. From 2025, fare payments will be accepted only through electronic systems.

This move aims to promote electronic payment methods and modernize the public transport payment infrastructure.
