13887On July 4, Tashkent recorded the highest temperature for that date in the past 150 years, according to leading Uzhydromet expert and climatologist Erkin Abdulakhatov.
He stated that on Thursday, July 4, the maximum air temperature at the Uzhydromet "Tashkent-Observatory" station reached +43.5°C. This marked a new temperature record for Tashkent on this particular day.
“Since 1868, when meteorological observations began in Tashkent, such a high air temperature has never been recorded on July 4,” Abdulakhatov noted.
For context, the highest temperature ever recorded in Tashkent was +44.6°C, registered on July 18, 1997. Yesterday's temperature came within one degree of that record.
