Individuals attempting to sell 100,000 units of ethyl alcohol were caught in Tashkent

Several individuals involved in selling 100,000 units of medical-grade ethyl alcohol were apprehended in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.
The incident occurred during a joint operation by the district department of the anti-economic crime unit and officers of the Mirzo Ulugbek DIA. O.V., along with others, was caught red-handed on Kasaba Street while selling 100,000 units of medical ethyl alcohol, which had been brought from the Fergana region to citizen Ya.I. for $8,300.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 186-1 of the Criminal Code (illegal production or circulation of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic products, and tobacco products), and an investigation is currently underway.
It’s worth recalling that earlier in Tashkent, the heads of an LLC were also caught selling ethyl alcohol that had been purchased for antiseptic production.
