Electric trains to be launched in 6 cities in Tashkent region

In the cities of Bekobad, Almalyk, Chirchik, Angren, Yangiyul and Ohangaron of the Tashkent region, the movement of modern electric trains will be launched.  This was stated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the meeting of the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies on 22 September 22.

At the meeting, the Head of State adopted a two-week program for the repair of internal roads in 840 neighborhoods, drinking and sewage water supply in 579, electricity and gas supply in 589, schools, kindergartens and polyclinics in 396 to begin works in this direction.  Including:

•    Allocation of 150 billion som to the projects that received the most votes within the initiative budget;

•    The beginning of the 3rd phase of the Asian Development Bank project on drinking water supply and wastewater worth 185 million dollars in the Tashkent region;

•    155 billion som from the state budget and 70 billion som from the additional local budget are allocated for the repair of internal roads.

The President stressed that the time had come to launch a modern electric train to the cities of Bekobad, Almalyk, Chirchik, Angren, Yangiyul and Ohangaron, and instructed the Minister of Transport to introduce the relevant draft decision.
