The Ministry of Health provided additional information on the beating of a doctor in Boysun

A criminal case was initiated against a citizen who beat a doctor from Boysun.  This was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As you know, a video showing the brutal beating of a doctor in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region was circulated on social networks.

It was found that doctor F.J., who was on duty yesterday, 9 January in the admission department of Boysun District Medical Association had a dispute with citizen Sh.Kh. over a personal issue. Consequently, the disagreement developed into a fight, and the doctor lost consciousness as a result of his injuries.

The victim was then admitted to the emergency department of the district medical association with a diagnosis of "Closed fracture of the nasal bone, contusion of the right eyeball and an injury to the right upper jaw."

The condition of the patient is now described as moderate.  Medical procedures were carried out based on established standards.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated by the Department of Internal Affairs of Boysun district under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and investigative efforts are being carried out.
