The project “Health Projects Center” will be established

The "Center for Healthcare Projects" will be established in Uzbekistan as part of the initiative outlined in the Presidential Decree dated January 22. The project office will be integrated into the Ministry of Health as a state institution.

The responsibilities of the project office, named "Health Projects Center," include the implementation of new strategies in key areas such as:

- Full execution of the state medical insurance system and the provision of free medical services and medicines guaranteed by the government.
- Enhancement of the control system overseeing the quality and safety of medical services.
- Increased efficiency and transparency in public procurement, along with a restructuring of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Revision and updating of sanitary rules and norms in alignment with modern requirements.

In the year 2024, the following milestones are expected:

- Comprehensive revision and alignment with international standards for 40 sanitary rules, norms, and hygiene regulations.
- Introduction of modern management methods and elevated standards for safety and quality in the operation of various medical centers, including republican specialized surgery, cardiology, endocrinology, dermatovenerology, cosmetology, scientific and practical medical centers, Children's National Medical Center, and National Medical Center. These centers will undergo international accreditation.
