Gas station in Syrdarya accused of blackmailing inspector with drugs (video)

In the Syrdarya region, individuals associated with a methane gas station accused of illegally consuming 5.7 billion sums worth of natural gas allegedly planted drugs in the car of an "Uzenergoinspeksiya" specialist who had arrived for an inspection. This was reported by "Uzenergoinspeksiya".  

According to the statement, on February 8, specialists from Uzenergoinspection’s central office conducted an inspection at gas filling stations for cars operated by "P.M.G." LLC, located in the Syrdarya district.

During the inspection of the gas meter, an unidentified individual exited the room where the device was installed, carrying various cables, and fled the scene. Upon closer examination, inspectors observed that the gas meter’s communication network was intact, raising suspicions of tampering. When the specialists attempted to remove the meter for further verification, the management of the station resisted and obstructed the process.  

At that moment, an officer from the Syrdarya District Internal Affairs Department unexpectedly arrived, searched the vehicle of "Uzenergoinspeksiya" specialist A.N., discovered a suspicious substance, and immediately detained the inspector.  

Following an investigation by law enforcement authorities, it was determined that the incident had been deliberately orchestrated by individuals associated with the gas station.  

Further analysis also revealed that the gas metering system had been manipulated, leading to the unauthorized consumption of 2.2 million cubic meters of natural gas, causing an estimated loss of 5.74 billion sums to the state.  

“The collected documents regarding the violations have been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for legal assessment,” the statement reads.  

This business entity has a history of illegal natural gas use. In 2024 alone, inspectors discovered unlawful consumption at two other gas filling stations for cars in the Syrdarya region—operated by "S.A.L." LLC and "M.G." LLC, both linked to the same management. The total financial loss from these violations was estimated at 28.3 billion sums.  

Earlier, in Bekabad, Tashkent region, another gas station was found to have embezzled 11.4 billion sums worth of natural gas.
