Shomurodov may return to “Cagliari”

"Cagliari" is reportedly interested in re-signing Eldor Shomurodov, the Uzbek national team striker currently playing for AS Roma. The news was reported by "La Gazzetta dello Sport".  

According to the report, the Sardinian club plans to initiate negotiations for the 29-year-old forward's transfer soon. If "Roma" secures a new striker during the January transfer window, Shomurodov is likely to depart the club.  

Shomurodov is no stranger to "Cagliari", having spent the 2023/24 season with the club. During his time there, he played 24 matches, contributing 3 goals and 7 assists.  

For AS Roma, Shomurodov has made 62 appearances, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists. According to "Transfermarkt", the striker is valued at €4 million and remains under contract with "Roma" until the summer of 2026.  

It is also worth noting that "Empoli" has previously expressed serious interest in acquiring Shomurodov.
