Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Erdoğan sign joint statement

Following the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed a joint statement as well as a decision on cooperation mechanisms within the framework of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The press service of the Uzbek president reported.
In addition, a package of bilateral documents covering various areas of multifaceted partnership was signed. In particular, agreements were concluded on cooperation in:
– healthcare, education, and military medicine;
– economic and financial cooperation;
– cooperation in the mining industry;
– development of international transport corridors;
– cooperation in the field of special economic zones;
– nuclear safety, physical protection, safeguards, radiation protection, and information exchange;
– migration assistance and the return of citizens to their home country;
– intergovernmental cooperation agreements between the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye;
– a cooperation program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2026–2027;
– a protocol between Uzbekistan’s Light Industry Development Agency and Türkiye’s Council of Higher Education;
– a cooperation plan in the field of culture for 2026–2027.
Earlier, it was reported that the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held under the chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
