Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrives in Türkiye

Today, January 29, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Ankara on an official visit together with his spouse, the press service of the Uzbek leader reported.

According to the statement, the high-level guests were welcomed at Esenboğa International Airport by President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his spouse.

The national flags of the two countries were raised, and a guard of honor was lined up.

The heads of state and the first ladies held a brief meeting. During the conversation, views were exchanged on expanding the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

Today, January 29, the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council will be held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.

During the talks, the sides will comprehensively review issues related to expanding practical cooperation in politics, trade and economy, investment, transport, energy, culture, the humanitarian sphere, and other priority areas.

As part of the events in Ankara, a ceremony will also be held to mark the opening of the “Uzbekistan” residential complex in the Arsuz district of Hatay province, as well as the launch of construction of an Uzbek school in Istanbul.
