Shavkat Mirziyoyev speaks with Tokayev by phone

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of further strengthening Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and allied relations during a telephone conversation held on June 24. The press service of the Uzbek leader reported this.

It was noted with satisfaction that practical cooperation is developing at a high pace, primarily in trade, industrial cooperation, energy, transport, ecology, agriculture and water management.

Active exchanges at all levels were specially acknowledged. The leaders welcomed the close cooperation established between the Presidential Administrations of the two countries, which contributes to the timely implementation of reached agreements and the enrichment of the partnership agenda with new projects and initiatives.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan also exchanged views on current issues of regional policy and reviewed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.

Earlier, it was reported that Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, met with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during her visit to Kazakhstan and conveyed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s sincere greetings and best wishes.
